What items would you include on a bridal registry?

Is anyone against having a bridal registry and why?
Hotel en Résidence De Draak Hampshire Classic

We added the usual things like dishes, cookware, silverware, towels, bathroom accessories and extra things like a couple lamps, decorative items. I figured if people want to buy it for us then great! If not we can just buy it ourselves with the discount that the store offers (thats why we registered for so much, so we can buy what we want at a discounted price, not because we expected anyone to buy us anything). If you want more ideas, I have a link to my wedding site on my profile which has links to our registry.

Anything you know you will need for your home. ANYTHING!

We put real simple stuff on our list that we can use replacements for such as sheets, towels, pots, pans, curtains, bakeware, utensils, etc. We also have a food saver, buffet server and slow cooker on there as well because we need them too.

Towels (especially those nice big fluffy expensive - IMO - bath sheets, which I absolutely love).
Every attachment I could find (and would actually use) for my Kitchenaid mixer - - I didn’t add the meat grinder ’cause I know I would never use it.
Linens/ Bed-In-A-Bag Sets
China (we have everyday dishes so I picked a “fancy” set - although its actually still fairly reasonable)
Silverware (good stuff, better than our everyday stuff)
Margarita Maker
Tools. We’re both into cars and motorcycles so we did put tools on the list at SEARS.

Some Bridal Registries have a list of things you will need. Ask for a list…

First of all CONGRATS on your upcoming wedding.
Basically…it depends on what you need. My FH & I just finished our registry & we added items that we need to finish our house with. We added items such as bedding, blankets, table lamps for bedrooms, towels, bath stuff, kitchen items–that we didn’t have, table/kitchen linens, & camping items (our hobby). We also added a few patio items such as a fire pit & grilling tools.
I’m not sure if you want crystal & fine china but, those are items that you could register for too. You can always use a good crystal vase or crystal serving bowls.
Again…congrats & wish you the best of luck!

Items for kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and entertaining I’d say. I know people who’ve registered for party packs of Pepsi cans or bulk packages of their favorite candies. And the great thing is, the weirder and more personal the items are (like candy), the more likely it is that someone there will get it for you!
