I am planning a wedding for july and I want it to be very low maintenance and simple but meaningful. I have too many friends who I want to stand with me. If I didn’t the bridal party would be too big and it’s going to be a small simple production. Plus, we really don’t have time to fuss over dresses and fittings and stuff. Is it tacky to have all my friends who would have been bridesmaids to wear black and accesorize identically? My sister and best friend, however, will have different dresses. Please help…

I read online that polyester wedding gowns can be turned inside out and washed in cold water (by hand or in the machine on the gentle cycle). I have tried washing mine by hand (in the bathtub!) using a generic version of Woolite, but there are some stubborn greyish stains on the bottom edge of the skirt (from walking on pavement). Has anyone out there tried using Oxy Clean on a wedding/bridal gown? Thanks for your help!

I’m not really sure how I feel about it. Should we have the dates sit together elsewhere? We don’t want a sweetheart table, but at the same time none of the members of the bridal party are in long term relationships. Our two groups of friends get along well. Does it look weird when the dates sit up there too?
