How do I get motivated to wear makeup without feeling like I’m trying too hard to look good?

Secanda asked:

My main concern has been cleansing and removing all traces of makeup, especially around the eyes, and this has made me shy away from makeup by the age of maturity. Well, at 23 I feel that if I don’t wear makeup, I’m going to be missing something big!

Am I experiencing quarter-life crisis?

Is it wrong to trade a DVD that you bought from another seller? Traders etiquette?

Junky asked:

As a non-trader, is it wrong to trade a film you bought from a seller? Assuming they made it themselves (recorded from TV onto DVD, etc) What are some traders etiquette?
These are not commercially released DVDs, most of the films I am looking for are so old (and rare) that they are under public domain — and I believe there is a law that does not prohibit this because it is not released by any companies.

Does Anyone Know What Dueling Etiquette People Had In The Colonial Era?

Lauren asked:

I was wondering as to what etiquette people used in duels when it was legal.

What happened when they both fired and miss?

What happened when one got hurt but wasn’t killed on impact? Was he finished off? Did they wait until he got better and had a rematch?

What rules did people have regarding this?

In a electronics saturated world, is Etiquette changing to accommodate this trend?

etiquette
Middy S asked:

Is there a discernible movement to create standards of etiquette when it comes to the use of cell phones, bluetooth units, home computers, laptops and the like?

I have seen generalities addressed such as no cell phone ringing and loud phone conversations during public performances, and the laws of pulling off the road in some US States when calls are recieved or made.

But what about other reas such as the spectre of watching people in public places seemingly talking to theirselves as a result of a Bluetooth unit planted in their ear, and seemingly ignoring others in their presence?

How about those that stare not monitors and seemingly ignore or pay scant attention to others in their presence?

Are their guides and publications that address this new wave of never ending tech and it’s impact and interaction in society?

Anyways, what do YOU think is the age to start wearing makeup? By makeup, I mean, eyeshadow, mascara, foundation, eyeliner, all that stuff.. And what amounts of the makeup?

What is a good makeup look for back to school?

makeup
sam asked:

Im going back to school soon, and i was wondering about some makeup tips, or maybe an overall makeup look. I have very light skin with pink undertones. I have blue/green eyes and dark brown hair. I like to wear a moderate amount of makeup, i hardly ever wear none to school, but at the same time i dont want to overdo it. What are some good colors in eye makeup and lip gloss for me? Even links to websites giving makeup advice would help, if you cant explain it.

What is the proper Filipino engagement etiquette and custom?

etiquette
Roger S asked:

I understand that there is a legal requirement in the Philippines for Filipinos age 21-25 to have a written statement from the parents saying they understand that their child intends to marry. Is it proper etiquette for an American man who wishes to marry a 22-year-old Filipina to ask her father for his blessing to marry or does the daughter just let her parents know she will get married or what? I assume that the man should ask the father, but I want to be sure how it is done properly and with respect. What advice would you give to help this conversation be more positive and successful? By the way, the father is college educated and owns a successful business in their province and the family is religious. Just out of curiosity, what if the parents refuse to provide the above-mentioned written document? While of course it is not the best way, can the couple get a waiver for this requirement? Salamat po!
I am an American, but live in Asia not USA so I’m not going to get a fiance visa for her to USA. I will either marry her where I live if I can get her a tourist visa (she has a good job so it is possible but I know hard) or in Philippines if we cannot get her a visa to where I live. I have been to the Philippines about 20 times in the past 2 years. I have visited her in person many times, but just became more than friends since the end of May. By the way, I really want advice from Filipinos or others who have first hand experience with this. Thanks!

How to apply makeup for asian skin tones?

makeup
cali girl asked:

I want to keep it fresh and natural, but flawless-looking and airbrushed.
I have high cheekbones, an oval face, almond eyes (not stereotypical asian eyes, but like Kristin Kreuk’s), and high cheekbones. My skin is like translucent, so there’s already coloring in my cheeks. And my skin is, well, Asian skin. Kinda beige. Any makeup tips to look airbrushed (like the models) but not fake? Thanks.
