How do I prevent from getting my period on my wedding day?

I stopped my birth control about 4 months ago and planned it so I would not be on my period for my Septmeber 22 wedding. With the stress of the wedding, I started a week late this month which puts me to start again on my wedding day. Should I start back up on birth control to prevent my period for September 22 and will this be effective since I’ve been off of it for a couple months? Is there anything else I can do to prevent my period?
