What should I wear to a bridal shower?

I do not like wearing skirts or dresses, but I want something different than my everyday attire (black pants, nice shirt). Would white sateen crop pants and a nice blouse be okay for the shower? Would crop pants (mid-calf) be suitable for mid-April?
